YALSA 2022 YA Services Symposium Registration Open

CHICAGO— The 2022 YA Services Symposium registration is now open. Early bird registration rates are good through September 15, 2022. This year’s theme is Rediscovering our Charm: Supporting Teens and Each other in our Libraries. Celebrate the wonderful community of librarians at an event that captures the collaboration, excitement and innovation of what we do best. We will explore new ways to uplift and support both ourselves and our teens through services and stories. From November 4-6th, the Symposium will be held at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel  in Baltimore, Maryland, which is also home to Margaret A. Edwards. YALSA has a group reservation rate through October 10, 2022

The Program Agenda is now available. Pre-Conference Day is Friday, November 4. There is a half-day session on Manga in Libraries and another half-day session on Anime. There will be a full day Pre-Conference course entitled “Transforming Teen Services”: The Magic Charm. The Symposium offers 4 author panels with confirmed authors: Lamar Giles, Jas Hammonds, Rex Ogle, Francesca Padilla, Nic Stone, Aiden Thomas and Vincent Tirado.  Education sessions are planned that will help YA library workers rediscover their charm.  There will be plenty of networking opportunities as well as time to discover Baltimore.

Registration for the Symposium can be purchased through the YALSA’s Conferences & Events page.

Join YALSA, librarians, and YA authors in Baltimore, the home of Margaret A. Edwards, as we come together to learn, share, and honor her vision as courageous champions of young adults.
