United for Libraries to present Dec. 9 member webinar on Baker & Taylor’s ‘Sustainable Shelves’

EXTON — United for Libraries will present a free webinar for members on Baker & Taylor’s Sustainable Shelves program Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. Eastern. Register here.

Baker & Taylor has teamped up with United for Libraries to offer a program with special benefits for participating United members. Sustainable Shelves, a weeding and book resale service, provides a simple path for libraries, Friends groups, and affiliated organizations to turn weeded, unwanted, and donated books into money for their library. This webinar will cover:

  • How the Sustainable Shelves program works
  • How to use your credits toward member dues
  • The benefits of choosing a sustainable weeding option for your library and community
  • How to enroll
