LLAMA webinar: What every library leader and manager should know about change management

LLAMA webinar: What every library leader and manager should know about change management

Managing change in your library doesn’t have to be daunting anymore!  Change management is a critical and unavoidable part of project management.  Overlooking its impact can cause project failure and staff dissent.  By understanding how change management works, you can ensure success and continued staff buy-in. The Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) will present “Successful Change Management,” on Wednesday, September 11, at 1:30-3:00 pm Central Time. This webinar describes the key parts of successful change management and how to keep your stakeholders happy throughout the project.

Participants will learn:

  • How change can impact your projects
  • What constitutes an effective workflow for changes
  • New ideas for identifying project stakeholders
  • How to create an ongoing communication plan for stakeholders and why it’s so important
  • The best decision-making process for implementing change
  • The advantages of using workflows to aid change management

This webinar addresses several of LLAMA’s Foundational Leadership Competencies including: Change management; Communication skills; and Problem Solving.
