How to Thrive in Uncertain Times Complimentary Webinar

As part of our efforts to support library workers during these difficult times, the ALA JobLIST Placement and Career Development Center will host a free webinar entitled, How to Thrive in Uncertain Times on Sunday, January 24, 2021, 12:15 – 1:15pm (Central). Register now, as space is limited.

Yes, we are in the middle of really challenging times. But that does not mean you have to step back, feel helpless, or exhaust yourself with anxiety. You can move forward with purpose, no matter what is going on around you. How? By choosing to take on a mindset and a series of actions that make a difference. You can handle uncertainty by remembering what is important to you, uncovering your best self, and committing to moving toward a future that offers possibilities. Join us for ideas in a lively, interactive session on how you can begin to shape a positive future for yourself.

Our presenter, Caitlin Williams, Ph.D. is an author, speaker, professional development consultant and ALA member. She has spent the last thirty years working in the field of career development through writing, speaking, coaching, counseling, and teaching. Caitlin has had the honor of conducting career coaching for ALA attendees at its twice-yearly conferences since 2000. She has also presented and contributed numerous articles and podcasts. She has written two previous books (one title has been translated into Korean), and co-authored another book – all of them focused on career and workplace topics. Most recently, she authored Be Opportunity-Minded: Start Growing Your Career Now for ALA Editions, focused specifically on career opportunities for library professionals. Caitlin is retired from teaching at San Jose State University, and she’s looking forward to new adventures and opportunities!

Be sure to join us for help in getting through these difficult times with success. Register now, as space is limited.

The ALA JobLIST Placement & Career Development Center is managed by the ALA Office for Human Resource Development and Recruitment (HRDR).
