Call for nominations for Scholastic Library Publishing Award

CHICAGO — The 2021 application process for the ALA’s Scholastic Library Publishing Award has been extended to March 1.

This award honors a librarian whose “unusual contribution to the stimulation and guidance of reading by children and young people” exemplifies outstanding achievement in the profession.

Presented annually, the winner will be awarded $1,000 and a 24k gold-framed citation.

Do you know a librarian who has made significant contributions to the field of children’s literature and is passionate about literacy and “getting the right book into the hand of the right child?”

Please complete the online application, including any supporting documentation as attachments by March 1.
