Brielle Simmons, Miss Earth USA 2022, to Compete at 2022 Miss Earth Pageant

WASHINGTON - October 17, 2022 - (Newswire.com)

Brielle Simmons, Miss Earth USA 2022 of New York, NY, will compete at the 2022 Miss Earth Pageant managed by Carousel Productions of the Philippines. After the United States claimed the Miss Earth title in 2020 and was selected first runner-up in 2019 and 2021, Simmons aims to further this historic run at the international competition. Miss Earth focuses on empowering women, promoting eco-tourism and aiding environmental causes around the globe. Each year, delegates from around the globe known as BEAUTIES FOR A CAUSE® represent their unique nations during the highly anticipated competition.

Brielle and nearly 100 delegates representing their countries will spend three weeks in the Philippines facing off in competitions like beachwear, evening gown and talent. The candidates will tour various islands of the Philippines to meet the public and serve the community. Should she bring home the crown on Nov. 29, 2022, she would dedicate her year to promoting special environmental projects like tree planting, beach cleanups, environmental fairs, school tours, speaking engagements and numerous other environmentally oriented activities. The winner of Miss Earth 2022 becomes the spokeswoman for the Miss Earth Foundation, the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP), and works in partnership with organizations like the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF).

Twenty-one-year-old Simmons is a student at St. John's University in New York City, majoring in Legal Studies with a focus on Environmental Law. She is the co-founder of the non-profit organization Bringing Me Sunshine, which combats poverty and homelessness by providing resources to children and families. As Miss Earth USA, she received prizes, travel and endorsements valued at over $100,000.

The 2023 Miss Earth USA competition will take place Jan. 2-8, 2023, in Orlando. Visit missearthusa.com for state program information and missearth.tv for information on the international pageant. Media may contact [email protected].
