The Flash poster finds Ezra Miller’s Scarlet Speedster surveying the elusive Batcave as worlds collide

In a new poster for The Flash, Ezra Miller’s Scarlet Speedster investigates the Batcave while paying a visit to Gotham City.

Promotional material for DC’s The Flash is fast approaching. Ahead of Super Bowl LVII, where a trailer for the upcoming DC superhero film will come racing in, DC Studios debuted a new poster for The Flash. In the new poster, Ezra Miller’s Flash surveys the Batcave, a locale buried deep beneath the Wayne Family grounds. As light pours in from a wall opening, the Flash stands atop a platform with the Batplane hanging above his head. The Scarlet Speedster’s suit is aglow with stylish piping, shining brighter than the sunlight on his sleek form.

After numerous delays, rewrites, and negotiations to keep Miller in the role of Barry Allen/The Flash, the film is racing into theaters on June 16, 2023. Andy Muschietti directs from a screenplay by Christina Hodson based on a story by Jody Harold. The Flash stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, Ben Affleck as Batman, Michael Keaton as Batman, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry, Antje Traue as Faora-UI, Saoirse-Monica Jackson, and Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen.

According to Variety, a recent report investigating the mediocre performance of Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam suggests Miller could still have a future as Barry Allen in the DCEU restructuring. DC Studios heads James Gunn and Peter Safran confirmed efforts to keep Miller after The Flash, saying the actor could remain in the role provided the actor stays out of trouble. Miller must agree to attend mental health seminars in the summer. These terms are likely due to The Flash testing well with audiences in preview screenings. One report claims Muschietti’s film tested “through the roof,” and that it’s as good as Spider-Man: No Way Home. This comment is a bold claim, but I’ve not seen the preview. For all I know, The Flash is fantastic, and we’re all in for the ride of a lifetime.

What do you think about the new poster for The Flash? Are you excited about finally seeing a trailer during Super Bowl Sunday? I bet we haven’t heard the last of backlash to The Flash and decisions made about the film, but if there’s one thing people love, it’s drama. I say bring it on!
