Learn how to create a strong communication plan for your library with this LLAMA webinar

How effective is your library’s communication plan? Does it provide clear direction for library users and patrons? Could it use enhancements to help motivate your employees and influence community members? Intentional communication about your library’s goals and values are essential to keeping efforts within scope to build library support, maintain a healthy budget, and manage unexpected crises.

The Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) will present “Creating a Communication Plan to Convey the Library’s Values and Value,” on Wednesday, July 15, at 1:30-3:00 pm CT. This webinar will provide an outline for creating a sustainable and consistent communication plan across all platforms and venues.

Participants will learn:

-The value of creating a strong mission statement, vision statement, values statement, strategic plan, and, ultimately, a communication plan.

-How to embed these statements and plans into the organizational culture.

-How to apply specific tools and templates to create a communication plan for your library.

-How to keep a communication plan an actively used resource for your library.

This webinar addresses several of LLAMA’s Foundational Leadership Competencies including communication skills, marketing, and advocacy.
