Eco-Activist & 'Glee' Star Heather Morris Shares Earth Day Ideas

Celebrate Earth Day with Actor Heather Morris

Just in time for Earth Day, actress, singer, dancer, and eco-activist Heather Morris shares timely information about environmentally friendly products and trends. Heather hopes to motivate environmentally focused citizens to become “everyday” stewards and provide an example for generations to come. The first Earth Day was more than 50 years ago, and now it is a global event that involves more than a billion people.

SOMETHING SIMPLE THAT ANYONE CAN DO

Little changes can make a big difference. Turning to cold water washing with Tide is an easy eco-habit to start this Earth Month; it is also a great way to save money and help clothes last longer. It is hard to change a habit when unsure if it will work. That is why Tide is created specifically to deliver a great clean in cold water, making the sustainable choice the easy one. Tide has been on a journey to reduce the climate impact of laundry and set a goal to turn 75% of loads to cold by 20-30. For more information, visit tide.com.

SUPPORT EARTH DAY AND THE ENVIRONMENT

When traveling, more and more people are looking for ways to go green. Try looking for lodging that does the same. So choose Travelodge by Wyndham. They are all about sustainability, including an ongoing commitment to preserving our nation’s parks. In fact, more than 75% of all Travelodge hotels are less than an hour drive from a national park, making it the perfect base camp for that next adventure. They are currently running a great Earth Day deal where anyone can get 20% off when staying two nights or more. Check out Travelodge.com for all the details.

IMPACT THE FOOD SUPPLY HAS

Thirty-eight percent of all food in the U.S. goes unsold or uneaten, a lot of it due to outdated grocery standards. Misfits Market is an online grocery store on a mission to reduce food waste and make shopping for sustainable, high-quality groceries easier and more affordable. They deliver organic produce, quality meats and seafood, plant-based proteins, pantry staples, dairy and other quality brands. Misfits Market helps save an average of half a million pounds of food per week, so consumers can feel good about supporting their mission. For more information, visit www.misfitsmarket.com.

SAVE ENERGY AND MONEY

An amazing new way to save money on energy bills while helping to protect the planet is Savant Power. A Savant Power System allows the storage of solar energy or inexpensive energy from utility companies and uses it to power homes or charge cars each day when energy prices spike. Plus, it can also be used to provide clean power to homes if there is a blackout. In some parts of the country, Savant Power users are already saving hundreds of dollars on their monthly energy bills. To learn more and get started, visit Savant.com.

ServiceUp Unveils InstaPay, Expediting Payments to Auto Repair Shops

ServiceUp launches InstaPay, the latest feature in its robust repair management platform. InstaPay provides repair shops with expedited payment processing immediately after repairs are complete, improving repair shop cash flow and productivity.

ServiceUp, a leading technology company streamlining automotive repairs, is proud to unveil a new feature designed to transform the way repair shops manage payments. With the launch of InstaPay, ServiceUp is further expediting the payment process, providing improved cash flow and increased productivity for repair shops.

Empowering Repair Shops With InstaPay

Repair shops that are part of ServiceUp's extensive repair network or those collaborating directly with ServiceUp’s fleet and insurance customers can now leverage the power of InstaPay. This innovative payment feature expedites the payment process, ensuring that repair shops receive their funds within 24-48 hours after completing repairs, eliminating the need to wait for extended periods.

"We understand the challenges that repair shops face when it comes to managing payments," said Kunal Rupani, CPO of ServiceUp. "With InstaPay, we aim to streamline the payment process, allowing repair shops to focus on what they do best — providing exceptional repairs to their customers."

Streamlining Operations and Strengthening Partnerships

InstaPay eliminates the arduous task of chasing down late or missed payments when working directly with customers. Shops also no longer have to wait 30-60 days, the typical net payment terms, before payments hit their bank account. By providing repair shops with prompt payments, InstaPay ensures improved cash flow, enabling shops to allocate resources more effectively and confidently pursue growth opportunities.

Beyond the benefits to repair shops, InstaPay also enhances the experience for ServiceUp’s fleets and insurance customers. By ensuring timely payments, repair shops, fleets, and insurance customers can foster stronger relationships, leading to increased trust and satisfaction within the repair industry.

The Future of Shop Payment Processing

ServiceUp's InstaPay represents a significant step forward in the automotive repair industry. By addressing the pain points associated with traditional payment processes, InstaPay empowers repair shops, fleets, and insurance customers alike, driving efficiency across the industry and fostering stronger partnerships.

"As pioneers in the automotive technology space, we are committed to innovation that delivers tangible benefits to our customers," said Kunal Rupani. "InstaPay is just the beginning of our journey towards revolutionizing the automotive repair industry, and we're excited to continue pushing boundaries and driving positive change."

Voice Assistant Users Want ‘Smarter’ Assistants, Voices Report Finds

Today, Voices, the world’s leading voice over marketplace, published Talking Technologya report analyzing the state of voice assistant usage in Americans, including how people use them, challenges they encounter, and potential improvements they might want to see.

The report found that over 80% of Americans use voice assistants, making them a highly prevalent digital tool. Among voice assistant users, 74% use their voice assistant multiple times per week. The widespread adoption of voice assistants should come as no surprise–from personal computers and smartphones to media consoles to vehicle infotainment systems–almost every piece of personal technology today has voice control functions integrated. But despite many users using voice assistants every day, 46% don’t feel they use their assistants to their fullest potential and leave many features underutilized.

Americans use voice assistants for a wide variety of everyday tasks, the most common being information retrieval, such as checking the weather or asking general questions on various topics (62%), communication with others (45%), playing media (43%), and smart home control (37%).

Other key findings from the report include:

  • Voice assistants have become a digital Swiss Army knife: 61% of voice assistant users interact with their voice assistant at least once per day. The most commonly used voice assistants are Alexa (56%), Siri (49%), and Google Assistant (42%).
  • Misunderstanding user requests is a big pain point: 60% of voice assistant users say the assistant’s ability to accurately understand their requests is one of their main frustrations.
  • Smarter IS better: 45% of users say they’d use voice assistants more if they thought they were “smarter” and could provide better responses.
  • Users would enjoy more human-like interactions: 36% would use voice assistants more if the interactions felt more natural and human-like.
  • Generative AI could be the revamp voice assistants need: 38% of users believe that a voice assistant that uses generative AI (such as ChaptGPT) would understand requests and inquiries better than their current assistants.

“It’s clear that people want voice technology that doesn’t feel like talking to a robot; they want technology that can actually understand what they’re asking, can respond accordingly, and sounds and feels at least slightly more human in their interactions,” says Tara Parachuk, Senior Manager, Brand Communications. “Companies looking to incorporate voice-activated features into their products should prioritize developing assistants that are actually smart – ones that have a high capacity for understanding natural language and can respond to requests accordingly.

The full report can be read here: https://www.voices.com/company/press/reports/voice-assistants. For more insights into the world of voice over, visit Voices at: https://www.voices.com.
