TikoMed, a privately-held biopharmaceutical company today announced the appointment of Anders Kristensson as their new Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Adam Bruce founder and acting CEO, who will continue as an Executive board member, building the IBsolvMIR^® program.

TikoMed is developing therapeutics for treating acute and degenerative neurological and ophthalmic diseases (ILBprogram) and an infusion product for improving outcomes in cell therapies (IBsolvMIR program). The company is planning to initiate phase II studies in ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) at Sahlgrenska University Hospital and Birmingham University Hospital in the second half of 2018. Other areas are Glaucoma, Alzheimer, Stroke, and Traumatic brain injury.

Anders Kristensson joins TikoMed after serving as General Manager for Nordics and the Baltics at Eli Lilly and Company. He has extensive leadership experience in the life science industry, having built strong teams and commercial results in the Nordics, Europe, and the Middle East. Anders holds a Master Diploma in Business and Administration from Lund University.
